I was really wanting to do a Dr. Seuss theme, but I want to save it for an actual party
(I think, I'm very indecisive)
So... what kind of cake can I do?
I'm having an internal battle because it's just us, but it's her only 1st birthday.
It should sort of be a big deal no matter what, right?

so, maybe aubrey's birthday is over(?)... but if it isn't... you could always do a "hat cake" from the cat and the hat. just grab the book for reference and cut the cake out... then ice it with the red and white... maybe do a little black outlining. my nephew had a volkswagen bug party when he turned 3--earlier in december... and i made him his own little vw cake (pics on my blog). i think it means a lot to have a fun cake... even if she is still litte, looking back on pictures, aubrey will appreciate it! :) if you did or do make a cake--you should post the pics!! :)
